General Text is a desktop and web app for working with plaintext files. The desktop app and everything you keep on your own machine is free. You pay only for the service we actually run for you: syncing your workspaces across devices, collaborating with other people, and hosting apps online.

We charge for exactly the thing that costs us something, and subsidize nothing.
